My son loves the brotherhood he has gained by the teams hes been apart of. Whether they play together still or not, those are his brothers. The skills he has learned, not just inside the sport but outside as well by being a part of a team are phenomenal. Respect, structure, responsibility. It has changed his life, and gave him a new look on the world awaiting him.
God. First and foremost. He has been their every step of the way in our lives. And his earthly father too. His dad used to be an alcoholic. They had a troubled past with each other. His dad recovered and their bond became inseparable. He has taught him that you can overcome anything.
There are so many its hard to choose. But I would have to say when he made his first home run in baseball ever, and against his old team. He shook their hands, and pointed to the sky. His papa passed away in 2020 and he dedicates every score or good play in any sport to his papa.
