My son loves playing football because it gives him a chance to stay active, work as part of a team, and challenge himself to get better every day. He enjoys the competition, the friendships he’s built with his teammates, and the excitement of the game.
My son is inspired by his father who played both high school and college football, his coaches, and our cousin Damian Williams who played for the TN. Titans. All of them lead by example, encourage him to work hard, stay disciplined, and show good character no matter the situation
There have been so many moments in his athletic journey that make me proud—from being a 7x All-American, #2 in the Nation for Long Jump, winning the 4x100 at Nationals, to competing in the Junior Olympics, and earning titles like National and State Champion. But what makes me proudest is that he’s a true scholar-athlete. He works just as hard in the classroom as he does on the field, always striving to keep academics his top priority. That balance of discipline and humility inspires me most.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
