You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
BJ loves basketball because of the team work that is required. He has played other sports where you singularly are rewarded. It was not until he started playing basketball that he really felt rewarded when he won games as a point guard. He really enjoys creating opportunities for himself and his teammates to score.
On the basketball court and off the basketball court, BJ is most inspired by his parents and brothers his parents have coached him since he could walk and his brothers played so he aspired to be better than them
The moment in BJ‘s athletic journey that has made me the proudest is when we were playing a team and we were beating them by more than 50 points. BJ told his teammates let’s get the smallest kid on the other team the ball so he can make a basket When he made the basket. The entire crowd cheered The little boy was so excited. That was the first time he had made a basket in an AAU game.
