He loves being a part of something bigger than himself. He lives for moments that are the most challenging. The adrenaline of fighting for a win along side of team mates but also, those sentimental moments of loosing together as a team. He loves the thrill of being on the field; always ready to be a baseball solider fighting the battle.
My athlete is most inspired by Jarren Durran. He looks up to Jarren because of his life experiences that he has been vocal about. He shows what it takes to be brave to continue with the life he most wanted even through the toughest part of his life. Jarren’s courage is admirable because most don’t speakout on their troubles, but through dedication to making his life better with treatment and helping others through his voice is what inspires my athlete.
There’s never just “one” moment that makes me the proudest, It’s all the moments when people are not “watching”. He decompresses after a win or loss by rewatching video clips of not just himself but his team. He never blames anyone, except himself, when there’s a loss. He is always looking to further his progress, even after a win. If he’s not on the baseball field, he’s at home/gym working out, or out in the back yard working on hitting or catching drills.
