Brighton loves that when he is running track, his competition is himself! He challenges hisself to get faster and faster and we welcomes every challenger because it gives him more drive to become greater! On the football field, he cannot wait to use his speed to out run the defense and chase down an INT on the other side! His speed is God-given and he knows it and uses it!
Brighton says, “ My mom cause she always goes above and beyond when supporting me in anything I do.”
The proudest moment in Brighton’s athletic journey was right before his Prelim 200m race in the Oklahoma High School State Meet. It was Brighton’s 1st time on the State Stage and he was the only Sophomore on the track. We always pray together before each race but this time I was stuck in the stands. When the boys walked out to line up for the heats, he looked at me in the stands, made the sign to come pray with him and I RAN! We prayed together 15 second ms before his heat and he PR’d!!
