What she loves most about rodeo is the animals and working towards a shared goal of doing right by her horse, and earning their trust to do right by her. She loves running barrels and poles and the adrenaline rush when you walk into the arena and send your horse to do the work they’ve been training for.
Briley is inspired by her trainer Mariah Byrd and Fallon Taylor. Mariah has dedicated her life to her horses and helping girls work towards their dreams. Fallon Taylor is a true inspiration after suffering a serious accident and coming back 10x stronger and showing grit and determination will take you far.
As her mom, one of the proudest moments I’ve experienced is watching her outgrow her first horse and understanding that it was his time to teach another little girl to ride. It was heart breaking to watch him leave, and there were many tears, but Briley knowing he could do the same for another girl, as he did for her, was heart warming.
