Brindley loves house sports bring people together. Whether it’s softball or basketball she lights up when meeting new teammates in kids from other schools. She values connection, fun and friendly competition even without a win. For her, it’s about learning and growing and becoming better both personally and as a team. The friendships, fun and constant growth keep her coming back.
Brindley is inspired by her mom and Mimi, who both played sports in college. She looks up to their work ethic, leader ship, and how they carry themselves. Her mom now in a leadership role, credit sports for shaping her into the leader. She is today and that message stuck with Brindley. She sees her sports can build strength and confidence and she’s driven to follow in their footsteps on and off the field.
One of my proudest moments was overhearing Her coach tell the opposing teams coaches that Brindley was “the heart of the team”. He didn’t know anyone was listening-it was genuine. Another was during tryouts when she went out of her way to include new girls that were trying out and made them feel welcome. Her leadership, kindness, and instinct to lift others up on and off the field make me incredibly proud.
