You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Brody loves to compete. Ever since he was a toddler, he has had to be the best at everything. He loves the attention of winning and making a big play. He said he loves to hear the crowd cheering for him because it makes him feel like an MLB player.
Brody is inspired by his dad and his older brother. His dad works 2 jobs and still makes a point to come home and practice ball and play games with Brody and his siblings. His older brother, Kaiden, works hard and is a great baseball player with hopes of making it to a D1 college. Brody looks up to these two and hopes to be like them.
Honestly, I’m proud of everything my son does. The athletic moment that sticks out to me most though, is not something that happened on the field. We were on a trip and he and an older boy were throwing football. The other boy was laughed at by the surrounding kids because he didn’t know how to throw very well. Brody, at 8 years old, did not laugh, but instead he taught the boy the correct hand placement and showed him how to properly throw a football.
