What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

One word: Everything. We all know that competition is about the W, but there is so much more to it, and Brody knows that, even at his young age. In addition to the love of any game that we're convinced he was born with, comradery, resilience, grit, and growth are always top of mind for this kid. Whether it's tracking the ball for the game-winning catch at center, throwing strikes on the mound, or being mindful of passing the ball to his teammates on the court, he exudes passion like no other.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

First and foremost, his dad, who is active in coaching any chance he gets. Brody proudly wears his number (8) whenever he can. In addition to Aaron Judge, he admires catchers & pitchers such as Gerrit Cole and Jose Trevino. Steph Curry is another, especially since Brody is on the smaller side, but he knows size isn't everything! He's also recently met local athlete Brodie Frecker who plays baseball at GWU, who he looks up to along with his cousins at Gettysburg College & University of Florida.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This is a hard one since we are proud at any given moment! I could say making the game-winning catch or strike out, playing through extreme weather, getting that foul shot at age 7, or conquering the slopes, but I won't. What I will say is something else of greater importance that I notice from the sidelines constantly - true sportsmanship. High-fiving the opponent who doubled for his hit at second base, asking if the kid who got hit by a pitch is ok at catcher. THOSE are the moments.
