I love the adrenaline of competition, the fast pace, and how every play matters. In basketball, I love the energy, the teamwork, and that moment when the shot hits nothing but net. In softball, I love stepping up to the plate, the sound of the bat, and making big plays for my team. I love pushing myself to get better every day.
My mom inspires me on and off the field because she is the definition of strength, grace, and selflessness. She’s been my biggest supporter, but more importantly, she’s the one who taught me how to carry myself with integrity, whether I’m winning or losing. She’s always believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. The way she shows up for our family, makes sacrifices, and keeps going no matter how heavy life gets, she is a constant reminder that character is more important than stats.
One moment in my athletic journey that makes me the proudest is when I made the EYBL Jr. Nike Basketball Circuit team. I knew it was going to be tough, I had to compete with some of the best girls around. But I trained hard, stayed focused, and gave everything I had. When I found out I made the team, I felt proud not just because of the name or the gear but because I proved to myself that I could hang with the best. It showed me that hard work really does pay off and that I belong on that level.
