She strives to be just like her Bonus Dad. From motorcycles and archery to softball and skateboards, she works extremely hard at everything she does and always says "I'm going to do it just like Scott". He takes every spare moment he can to help her and teach her to be the best she can be.
One of my proudest moments has to be when she was at bat and got hit by the pitch. The pitcher was so discouraged because Brooklynn wasn't the first one she had hit that day. Brooklynn made a point to go to that pitcher and I don't know what she said but the pitcher was smiling ear to ear and the tears were slowing down and she finished out pitching a much better game. Her inspiration and compassion for others makes me the proudest mom.
