Brooklynn loves that she gets to make friends with new girls every summer. She also loves having a different coaching style every year that she can learn from. She loves being able to be taught by new and old coaches. Brooklynn likes being able to show her resilience and her mental toughness. She loves being a role model to other girls. She remembers being a little 5 year old girl playing 10u and learning from those teammates. Playing then taught her to be a role model for indigenous girls.
Brooklynn says her mom inspires her because her mom taught her the mental toughness she has. She taught me not to be scared and that I can do anything she puts her mind to. Her mom taught her that if she wants something to go for it! She also says all softball pitchers inspire her. She pitches and wants to be in the circle on a big stage just like them!
One moment that makes me the most proud is when she played in a softball tournament and pitched 6 games straight. She pitches through the finger blister too! She had to pitch to one team back to back to with 1st. She got really frustrated but pulled her self outta the rut and rallied her teammates together.
