Brycen loves being a team player. He’s confident in himself to play the roles of being a starter and point guard, 2 important roles of holding a team together. He plays defense and offense. He always follows through with defense. He is a good shooter. He makes his shots count. Overall he plays every position on the court. He plays for 2 different AAU teams. No matter the age or size of the opponent he stands his ground. He's fearless, disciplined, committed, teachable and humble.
Brycen’s dad inspires him. His dad is his biggest supporter on and off the court. He takes him to every practice and shows up to every game. His dad played in basketball tournaments growing up. Both love basketball. Brycen looks up to his dad for mental support. Not only is he a supportive dad he is his role model, mentor and advocate.
One moment in his athletic journey that made me the proudest was winning AAU MVP after an undefeated 3 day tournament. Brycen also won Game Changer. He led his AAU team to an undefeated Championship game. He was interviewed and had a professional photo session. He took home an MVP trophy and 2 medals. It was definitely a very proud moment.
