What I love most about playing hockey is that it is a sport that is fast paced. If you work hard, it shows on the ice. Hockey has allowed me to see new places and meet life long friends that are as close as family. This sport has pushed me mentally and physically. It's tough when you are on a losing streak but it's amazing when you can say "I played against the top team in the country and had around 70 shots on me but only let in 8!"
On the ice my coaches inspire me because they push me to be better and encourage me through the tough times. Off ice, my parents inspire me. Both are determined and prove to me I can do anything if I put my mind to it.
Last year he was the only goalie for his travel team. He couldn't hide or be subd out if he had a bad game. He fought through EVERY game good or bad and never was down on himself or pushed blame if they lost. He ended the year playing 72 games between highschool and travel and had over 2000 shots on him. He amazes us with his character and drive everyday.
