What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Cainen loves the rush of riding and the challenge of tough competition. On the motocross track, he pushes himself to the limit, relying on his own determination to chase the best finish. He thrives on adrenaline and the freedom of racing full throttle. On the ice, it’s a different kind of excitement. He loves the fast pace of the game, creating plays with teammates, and being part of a team that works hard and supports one another.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Cainen looks up to Austin Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs for his skill and leadership on the ice. When racing his biggest inspiration is his father. Trying hard to follow in his footsteps, who fuels his passion for riding and always encourages him to push harder. With support from his family, friends, teammates, coaches and his community, Cainen is motivated to keep improving and never give up. He knows every ride and every shift is a step towards his future dreams.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

We’re proud not just of one moment, but of Cainen’s steady commitment to becoming a better athlete. In motocross, he’s worked tirelessly to improve his speed, technique and control of the bike. Continuous gaining himself podium finishes while being respectful of others. On ice, his journey was inspiring. He started as the slowest skater, often needing help from a buddy to keep up. But through hard work, he made huge strides, achieving a mid season hat trick that showed just how far he’d come.
