Cali loves the game of softball. The way it pushes her to be her best. The way it feels when she strikes a girl out or the pride she has when her teammates make a good play behind her. The way mistakes teach her about herself and how she uses that to fuel her passion and work even harder. The friendships that are formed both on and off the field and how her and her teammates support one another, lifting each other up every step of the way.

In the World Series she cheered for her teammates, physically showing her support for them on the mound and acknowledging them after they backed her up and made good plays. That’s the kind of pitcher I want to be. I want my teammates to know I appreciate them and see them.
In a championship game, Cali had bases loaded, two outs, full count on the batter, and it was a tied game. She did not get rattled or let the crowd get to her. She simply called time out on herself, went to the back of the pitching circle, took some deep breaths, mentally talked to herself and got her mind right, then hummed the ball for strike three! Her composure at eleven years old is unmatched. Her mental game is strong and she puts her faith in her abilities and God, he never fails!
