He loves the grind, the competition and the relationships he’s made. Cam loves to go to practice, but also enjoys doing the extra work that makes him a special athlete. The bond he creates training with his dad is also something Cam loves. He’s always asking how he did during his games and practices to self evaluate which helps him get better each day.
My dad inspires me both on and off the field. He pushes me to be the best I can be, challenges me and supports me no matter what! He’s always telling me how proud he is of me whether I have a good game or bad game. My mom also is so supportive and loving because she’s always cheering me on!! I aspire to be like Derek Jeter one day! He’s one of the best SS to ever play and is a great role model off the field too.
During the All-Ripken Games in Myrtle Beach, Cam won the Homerun Derby beating out over 85 other kids in his age group. That’s a proud moment, but what makes me more proud of him is the way he’s never afraid of the moment. He wants to be at the plate with the game on the line or on the mound in the last inning of a championship game. He isn’t afraid to take the last shot and has the confidence in himself. That’s what makes me the most proud of Cam.
