Receive Text UpdatesShe loves the way it makes her feel empowered and having a sense of worth. Softball has also given her chance to build bonds with teammates that are not just friends but family. She loves playing softball because she can showcase not just her skills but her sense of style and personality.
Aliyah Andrews is the person who inspires her on and off the field. She adores her because she plays some of the same positions as her and also slaps just like her. Another reason she is inspired by her is she lifts athletes up and doesn’t let anyone bring her down and she’s not afraid to be herself and push others to be great!
One moment in her athletic journey that makes me the proudest, is when she received the MVP for her middle school. She tried out the year before as an 6th grader and did not make the team. Camille did not let that stop her from trying out again the following year for 7th grade, instead it fueled her. Not only did she make the team, she surpassed everyone’s expectations leading her team with hits, runs and she only had one error for the season. We are proud of her because she didn’t not give up.
