Migrating to Canada and having the opportunity to run has given Caroline a voice and confidence. She dared to Dream and has come to make a mark in history. She is Caroline Samali, the girl child born with a hole in her heart......the girl child who dared to fight for her life.......the girl child who will redefine resilence.
Caroline will definately say her mother. I have thought my daughters to be the best version of themselves. In everything I do, I give my best. I do not shy away fro failures, but see them as stepping stones to greater opportunities. I am not afraid to be vulnerable and I let them see me grow through my vulnerability. This has made Caroline resilent and confident.
My proudest moment would be Athletic Ontario 2025 indoor 4x100 relay. Caroline ran the first leg and they won with an outstanding 50sec flat. They were however disqualifed because a runner stepped into an opponents lane after handover. I saw my daughter breakdown but I also saw her grow. She pulled her team mates close and they had a silent prayer, hugged each other and let go. She said"mummy, every race is a learning opportunity. We have learned"
