What I love most about playing hockey is being part of a team — working together toward a common goal and supporting each other on and off the ice. It pushes me to better myself and helps me bring out the best in those around me. When I’m playing, everything else fades away. Hockey clears my mind and gives me the space to reset and refocus.
I really look up to Hailey Wickenheiser. She made it possible for girls like me to see a future in hockey. She didn’t just play the game — she changed it. I admire how hard she worked, how she never backed down, and how she keeps making a difference even after retiring, like becoming a doctor and helping others. She’s proof that you can be tough, smart, and make a real impact
One moment that makes me proudest in my daughter’s journey was when she didn’t make the team she’d been working so hard for after a medical setback. It was a really hard time, but instead of giving up, she stuck with it. She kept showing up, putting in the work, and now she’s an incredible player. Seeing her bounce back like that showed so much strength and character — it’s a moment I’ll never forget!!!
