You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
He loves the team building aspect and the challenge. Carter understands that even if we don’t win, we still grow and get better. He gets to meet new people and make friends with kids who have the same interests. He loves when the coaches give him feedback and he will utilize it immediately to become a better player. Every game is a new opportunity.
While he loves making his parents and coaches proud, he finds his own inspiration from within himself. He challenges himself everyday to be better than the day before for his team and for himself. He feels so much pride in saying that he is a hockey player and he’s determined to reach his personal goals.
It is hard to pick just one moment because whether it’s practice or a game, he is lifting up his team mates, trying as hard as he can, pushing through his own fears, and looking for Mom and Dad in the stands before the puck drops. He was chosen to be team Captain last year and took that responsibility very seriously but that’s just a small piece. He really stepped out of his comfort zone joining summer teams where he didn’t know anyone. We are proud of him as a player and as a person.
