Carter loves playing baseball because of the grind it takes and the people he meets. The grind it takes is amazing from the workouts to the late night swings, and staying up thinking maybe what to work on to become better. He loves this sport so much because of the people he’s met along the way. Teammates become friends and they laugh, compete, and smile on the field. These reasons make me continually fall in love with baseball.
Carter states, “My dad is my inspiration on and off the field. The countless hours and coaching he puts in for me are incredible. My dad has so much heart for me. He comforts me after a bad game, treats me with respect and, after a lifting session, when my shirt is drenched with sweat, he'll go and buy me a Gatorade so I stay hydrated. He takes me everywhere I need to go, whether it’s a tournament or the cages. He will do anything for me and it inspires me to be dedicated like him.”
Carter says, “One moment in my career that made me the proudest is when I won my first Perfect Game Most Valuable Player award for baseball. I was proudest at this moment because it was my last tournament of the summer, and I played my best for my team. Another reason why I was proud was because I kept my teammates high on energy and had an all around great team morale that helped us win. I was very proud of myself and the work I put in to be recognized as a top performing athlete.”
