What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Getting to learn new things and hang out with friends.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My parents, as they work hard all the time and do what they can to provide for me. They also are the reason I can play.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Carter was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes at 2 1/2 years old. We were told he would probably never be able to play sports. We knew he loved sports & told him what he’d have to do to make it happen. He worked so hard for years at physical therapy to strengthen his hips & convinced his Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon he could play baseball. The hurdles he has overcome to play the game he loves, makes us so proud of him. He doesn’t want or expect special treatment because of his diagnosis either.
