What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love playing soccer because of the lessons that it has taught me over the years. This sport has given me mentors who have taught me right from wrong and good from bad when it comes to the decisions I make on the field to the choices I encounter on a daily basis. They have taught me patience and resilience that I can't learn anywhere else. Soccer has also given me the best opportunity I could have asked for; the ability to be a mentor for the future players of the game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My parents inspire me on and off the field by always showing me how to fight for myself and what I believe in, how to be a good person on and off the field, and how to handle myself. Without them I wouldn't know where I would be today as a soccer player and as a person. They have challenged me when I needed it and lifted me up when life got a little too hard. They are the most resilient people I know and have passed what they know to me.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

This is tough because it has been 13+ years of lacing cleats, filling water bottles, braiding hair, wiping tears, celebrating victories (big and small), and the journey still continues. Cece puts in 100% every single practice and every single game because that practice or game could be her last one. She is eager to help her counterparts improve because she wants what is best for her team. She strives to be better for her team and for her future dreams!
