You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
What Chaezen loves most about playing baseball is the competition and the friendships. He enjoy pushing himself to get better and competing at a high level, but what makes it really special is doing it alongside his teammates who have become some of his best friends. The bond they build on and off the field makes the experience fun and rewarding.
Chaezen admires Shohei Ohtani not just for his talent, but for his character. In high school, Shohei picked up trash around the field to build good karma. That shows real respect—something Chaezen tries to live by every day, respect for his coaches, teammates, umpires, and the game. Shohei's work ethic also inspires Chaezen to set goals and train hard. Shohei reminds Chaezen that greatness comes from effort, attitude, and how you treat others, on and off the field.
One moment that makes Chaezen proudest in his athletic journey is hitting his first over-the-fence home run. It came right after he didn’t make the all-star team—a tough disappointment that really motivated him. He dedicated himself to improving, practiced harder than ever, and in his very next tournament, he hit that home run. It wasn’t just about the hit—it was proof that perseverance and hard work pay off. (Bonus- Chaezen went on to make the All-Star team the following year!)
