What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he loves most about playing sports is simple, everything. From the moment he puts on his uniform, he lights up. Whether it’s game day or just practice, he’s always excited to play. He loves the fun of it. Running, jumping, scoring, and giving it his all; competing, most of all. He loves to try new moves, and challenge himself. Even when it’s tough, he says it’s still fun, because he knows he’s learning and getting better every time. He also loves being part of a team and making new friends.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He’s inspired by Fernando Tatis Jr., Justin Jefferson, and Stephen Curry because they play with passion, confidence, and heart. Tatis brings energy and fun to the game, (not to mention swag/drip.) Jefferson shows incredible focus and skill, (dance moves and all) and Curry proves that hard work and staying humble leads to greatness. On and off the field, they all motivate him to work hard, believe in himself, and always play with love for the game and never give up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest of his journey isn’t just games he’s won or the pints he scored, but the heart he puts into It. He shows up and shows out, always putting his best foot forward. If he makes an error, he makes up for It the next time. He’s quiet, so many people don’t get to see his passion off hand, but he’s always shows up, his authentic self. He’s got grit, compassion and loves to cheer and chant when he’s in the dugout. He never gives up. He’s coachable, respectful and hardworking!
