What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The learning process and the rewards of hard work and dedication. He also enjoys teaching skills to younger practitioners who are new to the art. Charlie is a born leader and SMA karate has pushed him to be the best version of himself.


Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Shihan Rob Patry head instructor of SMA karate.


What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Today he recieved his second brown stripe and became one step closer to his black belt. During his examination for his first brown stripe he broke his hand and continued on to break 10 boards using his opposite hand. He had a boxers fracture and had his hand in a cast for 10 weeks following, he still continued his karate journey.
