What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Charley’s passion for the sport is infectious, and she has become a role model for her peers. Her work ethic, positivity, and love for the game make her truly deserving of the Youth Athlete of the Year award. She loves to demonstrate sportsmanship, humility, and a team first attitude whether winning or losing. She consistently attends all practices and trainings to improve her skills, and support her teammates through encouragement and example. Lastly, the trophies and medallions she receives.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Stephen Curry inspires her on and off the court because of their similar characteristics as an upcoming basketball player. She loves that he isn’t just a basketball superstar but a well respected individual whose character traits contribute to his success and positive influence on others. She loves that he leads by example with his actions and words. Charley has a rigorous practice routine just like Curry and is dedicated into putting in extra work to refine her skills just like him.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment during her athletic journey was watching her play in the US Jr National Tournament in Pennsylvania June 28-30 weekend 2025. She had crowds of people migrating over to her games just to watch her play basketball. She helped her team win 2 games back to back that they were expected to lose, but she fought hard, played smart, and kept her head in the game. I witnessed greatness after seeing her, assisting her team win 1st place in the tournament.
