Everything. He loves 3rd base and pitching the most. But when he’s given a new opportunity , he runs with it. First base became a new favorite. During rec, he was able to catch- and that then took more practice. He did it because he wanted to keep improving himself.
Charlie is a NY Yankees fan. Always has been. But Anthony Volpe, coming from our neighboring town. Growing up on the same fields. Going to the same baseball club to train in the winter. He knows that he made it, maybe he can too.
Charlie keeps trying to better himself. He puts in the practice and dedication. It makes me proud. But the fact that he can be a role model while still playing- makes me prouder. Hearing the coach say that he’s the one kid who doesn’t need to be yelled at, or corrected for behavior- shows me he’s doing something right. Not just in sports, but Always.
