Receive Text UpdatesFrom a young age, it was clear that baseball was more than a sport to him, it was where he came alive. He loves the mental side of pitching: the strategy, the pressure, the challenge of staying locked in when everything is on the line. But even more than that, he loves being part of a team. He’s the kind of kid who supports his teammates from the dugout just as hard as he does on the mound. Win or lose he shows up with heart.
He’s always looked up to athletes who weren’t handed an easy path, players who were doubted, cut, or overlooked but kept pushing anyway. That kind of grit speaks to him.
At 13, he was cut from a team he’d worked hard for. It crushed him. But he didn’t give up. He trained harder, made a rival team the next year, became their top pitcher, and won a gold medal in the BC Summer Games. His resilience, grit, and quiet drive through it all is what makes us proudest.
