What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The thing she loves most about playing the variety of sports that she plays is the combination of physical, mental and social benefits. The competition, training, teamwork, and resilience makes her thrive. Charly just naturally lives and breathes overall athleticism and has made a lot of friends throughout her many years being involved in the sports she plays. She has made some friendships that will last a lifetime.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Charly is inspired by her mother who is also well rounded in a variety of sports just like she is. Her mothers work ethic, determination, unwavering support, guidance, dedication and positive attitude has helped teach her the value in sports and in life. She encourages Charly to try new things, to pursue her passions, to be active and healthy. Her Mother is her biggest cheerleader, and her encouragement and success are what motivates Charly.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment in Charly’s athletic journey is when she won back-to-back female athlete of the year in high school. It’s not that she excelled in one sport, it's that she excelled in all the sports teams that she was a part of and trained with. The teams were always competitive. I’m proud she continues to be a leader of all the sports she plays and the fact that every time she steps on the field, the rink, or the court, and even her weight training she gives 100% all the time.
