What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What does she not love about BMX? Since she started she loves the confidence she's developed for herself. She loves the friends she's made and her team, Send It Racing and considers them her 2nd family. She also loves that she's learned to be brave in front of groups of people, the sportsmanship and respect between riders, coaches and volunteers.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My dad is who inspires me most when it comes to BMX. He took me to Lincoln Park BMX track almost three years ago (August 2023) to try it out. I was scared—until I saw him on the track. He didn’t even look nervous! The next time we went, I got on a bike and gave it a shot… and I had a blast! I was a novice then, but I worked hard, and less than two years later, on 7/30/24, I earned my spot in the girls' club and became a Girl Expert. I wouldn’t be where I am if my dad hadn’t brought me that day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When she's racing & crashes. No matter how hard she hits the ground or how injured she is, she gets back on her bike & gives it her all. Her first race as girl expert she crashed so hard her helmet broke and her face was covered in dirt. She shook it off and 5 min later she was back on the track for her next race & got 1st place. She has never once let a crash stop her, she races through the pain and always gives it her all & continues to encourage those around her. Her heart is in it 100%
