What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Chris loves most about running track is showing up and competing against others who have the same winning mindset, he thrives off the thrill of a competitive environment.


Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Chris is most inspired by his granny—she shows up to every meet, cheering loudly without hesitation or embarrassment. Her constant support and belief in him, 110%, pushes him to give his all on and off the track.


What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Last year, he qualified for the Junior Olympics in just one event—a relay. But this year, he pushed himself to make it in his own open events, and he did just that—finishing 2nd overall in the 200m and 1st in the 400m hurdles at regional qualifiers.
