Christian’s love for sports was ignited by Coach G, whose guidance and belief in him laid a strong foundation. He grew to cherish the bond with his teammates, who pushed and uplifted each other. Through prayer and faith, he found strength, purpose, and the confidence to lead and excel. Known as “Commish” for his leadership and heart, his journey is rooted in love for the sport, trust in God, and commitment to those beside him.
Coach Ethan Moore is one of my biggest inspirations. He legally drowned at 2, but survived forever changed. He has trained numerous youth athletes to 300+ Titles and records from AAU & USATF and a host of Olympians. His approach to life is to love all and work hard because tomorrow isn’t promised. 3 years of training with him have re-shaped my confidence as a student athlete, shifted my approach to life and its hardships, and helped me lay the foundation for my future as a contributing citizen.
During Christian's first indoor track competition in Virginia Beach, I vividly remember his excitement and anticipation for the race. As he approached the starting line, he did his typical warm-up routine, then reached his arms up, pointing above, and proceeded to put his hands together and began to pray. This is my proudest moment because it highlights the values and morals we've instilled in Christian and his unwavering faith in God and himself.
