Clara lives for dance because it constantly pushes her to be her best, both physically and mentally. Through dance, she’s learned the value of discipline and perseverance, which motivates her to improve with every step. It also supports her emotional well-being, giving her a creative outlet to express herself and release stress. Most importantly, dance inspires her to make healthy choices and treat her body with care, knowing that her strength and energy are key to doing what she loves
Claras dance teacher, Nikki, has become so much more than just an instructor—she’s like a second mother to her. Nikki not only inspires her through dance, but also supports her in everyday life, always taking the time to listen to her problems and offer guidance. She’s been especially encouraging with her reading struggles, helping her build confidence academically as well as artistically. Nikki’s compassion and dedication have made such a deep impact on her.
At nationals, something really special happened—parents and dancers from another studio recognized me from a different competition and went out of their way to tell me how much they enjoyed watching me perform, and they remembered me from regionals they said I did so good, and hearing that honestly made my whole day. After having a tough year, those words meant even more. It reminded me that all the hard work, dedication, and passion I put into dance doesn’t go unnoticed.
