My son loves sports because they let him play alongside friends, stay active, and constantly improve his skills. Whether it’s football, baseball, or track, he values teamwork, enjoys the challenge of competition, and brings a positive attitude to every game. For him, sports are not just about winning—they’re about growing, staying healthy, and having fun with teammates. His passion, effort, and love for the game make him a dedicated athlete.
My son is inspired by the dedication and sacrifice of his parents who served in the military, learning the values of discipline, honor, and perseverance. He also looks up to his teachers and coaches, who guide him with patience, wisdom, and encouragement. Their example motivates him to work hard, be respectful, and strive for excellence in all he does. Their influence shapes his character and fuels his passion to grow into a strong, kind, and driven young leader.
One of the proudest moments in my son’s athletic journey was making his local travel baseball team. It was a goal he worked hard to achieve, and earning a spot on the roster meant a lot to him. Even more rewarding was helping his team win the 9U Gold Bracket Championship. The experience taught him the value of perseverance, teamwork, and believing in himself. That season remains a highlight of his young sports career and continues to motivate him today.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
