Receive Text UpdatesConnor has loved swimming since he was 5 years old. For him, it’s more than just a sport—it challenges him both mentally and physically. It helps clear his mind, allows him to set and achieve personal goals, and builds his confidence. Swimming has also taught him important life skills like time management, discipline, and responsibility. Most of all, it’s given him a second home—a place of consistency and belonging—especially after his parents divorce. Through daily practices, he found friends.
Connor is inspired by his older teammates and cousins, who have shown him what it means to work hard, stay dedicated, and lead with heart. Watching them succeed in and out of the pool has given him something to strive for. Their guidance and encouragement continue to push him to be his best.
One of the proudest moments in Connor’s athletic journey happened at the regional championship—not during a race, but in a quiet act of leadership. Another swim mom shared how Connor encouraged a teammate who felt intimidated by a competitor. He told him, “You can’t crumble in these moments. You have to strengthen your mind and remember—you’ve trained for this.” It was a proud moment because it showed the kind of athlete & person Connor is. His ability to uplift others with positivity.
