Conor loves the team aspect of sports, the camaraderie with teammates, and being active. He’s one of those kids that can’t sit still, so playing sports allows him to direct all of his energy towards something positive. He also loves the opportunity to compete that sports provides as he is very competitive.
Conor told me that Tom Brady inspires him because he was picked last in the draft but didn’t get discouraged. He used that as motivation, worked hard, studied and put everything into getting better. As we all know, that hard work paid off as he is considered the greatest NFL quarterback of all time. This is a great example of how determination, perseverance, and focus goes along way.
Through his athletic journey he’s excelled at every sport he’s played which just amazes me how it seems to come so naturally to him. Although he’s consistently been one of the top players, he always remains unselfish and a team player, he’d rather see the team succeed than be singled out for his personal performance which I think is such an important mindset that young athletes need to have but seems to be a rare quality. I’m also proud of his drive to succeed and courage to try new sports.
