Cooper plays key positions in baseball, football, basketball and indoor soccer. Baseball is really his game . Seeing the hours of work/ practice pay off in victories or just huge performance improvements is rewarding. Spending time traveling with family, team members and other fans is a high point in the whole ball experience. Playing his best is a source of achievement !
There is a long list of local, college and professional athletes that Cooper admires and certainly imitates to a degree. The names may change at times. One name does not change. That is his Dad. David Cole coaches his son. David played multiple sports also and played baseball at Louisiana Tech University. He teaches Cooper many of the skills that have made him so successful as a young athlete but the life skills David teaches have been by far the best!
There have been many proud moments. Some of the moments were when our team lost and Cooper was pitching and did all he could or batting and got a great hit , but it just did not go our way. Like life, you pick up and keep going! What a great lesson. One of my proudest and scariest looking back was when Cooper was hit in the jaw by a pitch. His face was swollen grotesquely. He was spitting out blood. He cried a little, but insisted on finishing. He is eleven. wow
