My son loves to compete one on one. He studies and learns from the other throwers. He also loves to teach younger kids how to throw. He mentors them to be better. He doesn’t care about medals. He lives to just get out there and throw. He is always practicing to get better.
His teammates inspire him to get better and be better. They are always cheering for him and he does the same for them. His coach is a fantastic coach. He never talks down to him only at him. Coaches him to be his best and whatever happens…happens.
He needed to throw at least a 120 or more in discus to go on a varsity trip to San Fransisco. He had 2 meets to get it. The first meet he didn’t get it. So he was out practicing everyday. Last one off the field. Next meet was the one that he had to get it. So he through a 120. something I forget. So he was stressing out. We go back to his coach to sign him out of the meet and the coach said he made it and he could go. His coaches loved how he was so dang determined to achieve that goal.
