You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Corbin has played baseball since he was walking. He’s constantly working whether it’s practice with his travel team, school team, solo practice, batting cage practice, or just working out to strengthen himself, he’s doing it. When he’s not practicing, he’s either playing baseball on a video game, or watching his favorite travel team play in a tournament on YouTube. To say he loves the sport is an understatement, he lives it.
One baseball player that’s inspired Corbin in more ways than one is Jaime Ferrer. Jaime has worked hard on a college level and is now playing minor league baseball after signing with the Minnesota Twins. Jaime and Corbin both have type 1 diabetes and can relate to the struggles and extra work they have to put in to manage blood sugar levels during long days on the baseball field. Having type 1 diabetes has never stopped Jaime from achieving his dreams, and it has inspired Corbin to do the same.
Corbin used to play 3rd base primarily, but his travel team desperately needed a catcher, so Corbin decided he would learn. He has gone above and beyond with catching and now that’s his primary spot on the field. His defensive skills with blocking the ball and throwing runners out for stealing are absolutely incredible. When he steps on the baseball field, he owns it. The way Corbin has worked so hard to get to where he is now is truly inspiring, and he’s nowhere near done yet.
