Cruz is inspired by his late Uncle D, he remembers when he was 2 years old his uncle was apart of his Alma mater high school basketball team, he help coach and he would have Cruz running around the gym with a basketball, since those days he never put the ball down. He now wears the #45 to honor him in sports.
In his first year playing flag football, he was was all about sharing and helping others better, he didn’t care about all the shine and fame he wanted others to share the spotlight also. That was very humbling to me and showed great sportsmanship.
