He says he plays basketball because it's what makes him feel connected to his dad the most. D'Angelo unfortunately lost his father to cancer at 8 years old. He has tough times because of it, but he's determined to be great and make his father proud. His father was an amazing athlete, so he's inspired to be that as well. He's used his own determination to get on an amazing team that went to nationals, which would make his lifetime memorable.
His father passed away from cancer. He was an amazing father and a great ball player. He had college letters sent to him, but unfortunately, he strayed down the wrong path. My son knows only the good, very little of the bad. He wants to carry on his dad's legacy and one day make it to the NBA, driven by all the passion for his daddy. His dad is still giving us so much life from the spiritual world. We wish we had him here, especially to teach our child and pass on his skills. He was a very wise
He talked his way into an amazing team. He got himself into Nationals for the very first time this year all by himself. Momma just paid. I made sure to instill in him that if he’s determined to do it, he should use his voice as a man and speak up for what he wants. My son did that. Not only did it work, but it worked beyond what we thought it would, to the point where he got onto this team for free. But I felt bad, so I asked repeatedly and finally I paid. He's a very brave and passionate kid.
