Thank you for generously supporting Damilola in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Teamwork, responsibility, commitment and dedication. She is not just and athlete but is learning how to be a leader but a person who understands accountability. She has been able to learn life lessons from soccer that will last throughout her life and transition into her career as an adult.
Michelle Alozie is her inspiration. She is not only able to play for her club and country Nigeria. She also works part time as a cancer researcher for children. When Dami isn’t playing she’s working to teach and training children and aspiring to be a surgeon. She wants to be an athlete and pursue a medical degree.
She has played as an attacking playmaker for 10 years for club. However the high school varsity coach played her as a center back. She did not quit or give up but started and played every game. The last game she kept scoreless in double overtime and stepped to the line and made her penalty. She fractured her foot during the game and still managed to fight and finish the game with class. She always shows up and gives her best and we are very proud and grateful she’s our daughter.
