Dane loves baseball so much because his pappy (grandpa), who passed last year, loved baseball, and got Dane to love it! Teaching him sportsmanship and helping him with his skills. It was their bonding, and now that pappy has passed away, he wants to excel and hope/know hes watching down cheering him on!
Dane has been playing for many years, and honestly my proudest moment of his is from this past weekend tournament. He has been really working on pitching, and the confidence that comes with being a pitcher..he only pitched one inning of one game, i could literally see the confidence leave his body. This weekend, his coach told him he was being put in to pitch, and wanted to see his mental toughness, and see him what he got! He was put in to pitch, went 3 innings with only 1 hit and multiple K's!
