DJ said what he loves most about the game of basketball is the creativity, the different styles of play, the flashy passing, crossovers into a jump shot, and how everyone comes together to have fun.
DJ says that his mother and father gives him more than enough inspiration. When he is down his mother comforts him and encourages him to push through. When all odds are against him, his father reminds him that he is different for a reason.
Every moment of his journey, when DJ is out there playing and fighting, you would never know what he has to go through to making sure he is ok to play and continue to play at an high level. DJ plays through adversity most the time knowing that he should take breaks. It is very admirable to see DJ practice and play hard. When he was diagnosed he did not let that deter him from his goals.
