My son loves the competitiveness and the friendships that he’s made along the way. He loves watching himself improve. He always strives to do better than the day before.
If you ask him, he would say “my mom is my biggest fan, supporter, and inspiration. She always helps me strive to be better, both on the field and in the classroom. My mom goes without so that my brother and I can play the game we love.”
The moment that has made me the proudest is the sportsmanship that he displays. It does my heart good when a parent from the other team or an umpire comes up to me and tells me I have an amazing young man and a great athlete. My son is very humble and does nothing for the accolades.
