What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Daxton enjoys playing soccer, basketball, football and baseball. He really enjoys the feeling of success from scoring or making a great defensive play. The biggest reward is challenging himself to improve with every practice and game.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He really enjoys these sports at the professional level. Ohtani and Tatis are his favorite baseball players. Daxton is right handed but initially learned to bat left handed by copying Ohtani’s swing. He was excited to see a supreme athlete like #17, he motivated him to take huge swings while at the plate.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

We were in Pinto division last game playing for the championship. The opposing team was at the bottom of their lineup and coach instructed batters not to swing, assuming they would walk. Daxton was put in to pitch and threw 9 straight strikes. I had never been so proud - he was 7 years old and commanding the field with his pitching control.
