Decker said his Dad is the one who inspires him both on and off the field. Decker shared that when his dad is on the field coaching, he’s always the voice he can hear when he does something well or when he needs encouragement to get past an error on the field. He played for UCF and also in the MiLB and hopes to be like his dad one day.
Decker said the memory that holds the most meaning to him is when he was up to bat in our Little League championship game and there was a runner on 3rd base. He said he remembers being nervous because he didn’t want to let the team down. He hit a ball down 3rd base line and scored the winning run. He was one of the youngest on the team. Dad was on 1st base coaching and he remembers his dad and the rest of his team meeting him at 1st and throwing him in the air and dumping the water cooler on him
