You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
She has played many sports such as flag football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, and has taken on the leadership role in most of the sports. Delany loves to encourage others to perform at their optimal best, give constructive criticism to help the team win as a whole in addition to receiving it, and loves to be a team player. Furthermore, she loves to challenge herself in many ways. Playing multiple sports has helped her become more disciplined, focused, and to perform at her best.
Delany’s mother inspires her to be great on and off the field by encouraging her to stay focused both academically & physically. She is a single mother of 3, works a full time job, goes to the gym everyday, and also is a college student. Delany knows her mom played multiple sports in high school which motivates her to follow in her footsteps. Delany wants to travel when she gets older & understands if she continues to stay focused a myriad of opportunities will open up for her in the future.
The proudest moment for me was when Delany walked the stage and received the 2025 MSAA Scholar Athlete Recognition Award in addition to making the volleyball team. At her 8th grade graduation she received multiple certificates for her academics and leadership role in all of the sports she participated in. I couldn’t be any prouder!
